Musk has unleashed a relentless wave of controversial new features since he splashed out an absolutely eye-watering $44 billion to snatch up Twitter in his blockbuster October 2022 acquisition.

The tech mogul dramatically rebranded the entire platform to X – which also happens to be the intimate nickname he uses for his son, whom he shares with enigmatic singer Grimes.

In a shocking move last October, Musk ruthlessly banned all bold and italicized fonts after declaring they were “being abused for engagement farming” by cunning users gaming the system.

Just one month before that bombshell decision, he rolled out a game-changing feature allowing users to edit their direct messages on the app even after they’ve already been fired off into cyberspace.

And before this latest controversy, he sparked absolute fury among devoted users by controversially “hiding” their precious likes in a desperate bid to beef up privacy protections across the troubled platform.
