I’m going on week three of this 1-step manicure with remarkable results. I followed the suggestion of no base or top coat, and applied 2 coats of the ORLY Elixir polish to my toes. “If you want an “elevated natural” look, this is the perfect product. It’s a sheer, clear color with a touch of nude-pink undertones. It reminds me of a natural French manicure color – not the one with raspberry undertones, but more of a natural nail bed color (on light-medium skin). Unlike other light pink colors, this doesn’t look white at all, nor does it look pink.
It went on smoothly and dried quickly. I’m uncoordinated with short nails, so my nails normally look like a crime scene when I use color. However, the nature of this product is very forgiving for those who color outside the lines of their natural nail frame. “I cannot say enough about this polish. I have suffered with toenail fungus for about 22 years. I got it treated by a podiatrist with medication and as soon as I wanted to put polish on my nails again, it came back. Obviously no woman wants to have her bare feet, looking like a barbarian, without polish. My fungus started to get worse and spread to all the other other nails, when it was mainly in two. “I love this nail polish! It holds up on my finger nails longer then most I’ve used, in fact I usually don’t bother painting finger nails because I have a huge family and constantly clean and wash clothes and dishes and hands etc… But this has lasted about a week with minor chips which for the amount of abuse my nails get is pretty good. I also ordered the breathable because basically all polish tends to give me toe nail fungus, I have yet to take it off to see if this more breathable polish caused the same to happen or not yet but hoping for the best.” — Miriam
