When boarding a flight, most of us barely pay attention to the music playing in the background. But for IndiGo flyers, the airline’s new anthem, All I Want Is Touchdown, has quickly become a familiar tune. The upbeat yet calming track is played during boarding and before takeoff, creating a soothing atmosphere for passengers.

In addition, many travellers were surprised to know about the voices behind this much-loved track. Two women, Ayushi Joshi and Srishhti BhitriKothiy, are the artists who gave life to IndiGo’s boarding music.

While Ayushi sang the main lyrics, Srishhti contributed the background vocals and harmonies that make the song so refreshing. Together with composer Sageesh Bhandari and producer Dpon Dash, the team crafted the anthem to help ease the stress that often comes with flying.

A singer quietly sat on a flight as her own voice played on loop

A video shared on Instagram by Srishhti BhitriKothiy went viral in July this year. In the clip, she is seen seated quietly on an IndiGo flight as All I Want Is Touchdown played in the background.

Passengers around her were busy arranging their luggage and finding seats, not realising that the calming voice filling the cabin belonged to someone sitting among them.

Alongside the video, Srishhti wrote, “Nobody on this flight knows that the voice they hear in the aircraft is mine.”

The post left many followers stunned, as they never expected to meet the voice behind IndiGo’s now-iconic in-flight music.

Social media users can’t stop talking about the track

After Srishhti’s video surfaced, social media was filled with reactions.

A user commented, “Wait, no fricking way omg, I love this song way too much ma’am, omg. It’s my alarm, my phone ringtone omg.”

Another added, “So you’re the reason why I can’t get it off my head after landing.”

Some even shared personal stories, like downloading the song after hearing it on an international IndiGo flight.

An individual wrote, “When IndiGo changed their boarding music, I wanted to know the song. Somehow I found it, now I got to know the artist too. All I want is touchdown is so relaxing.”

Others praised the melody and vocals, saying the track gave them peace after long flights.

A reaction read, “I liked the voice and the melody. It is pleasant overall, so a good composition to me.”

Another added, “To hear this after landing is peace. A nice melody.”

The two artists behind IndiGo’s anthem

Both singers are relatively young but already making waves in the indie music scene.

Ayushi Joshi, apart from lending his voice to IndiGo’s track, is also a composer and lyricist. Some of his known works include Aao Na, Apsara, Sham and Kill Bill. One of his songs was even featured in an advertisement for The Man Company.

Srishhti BhitriKothiy started pursuing music seriously in 2024. By April 2025, she had launched her first album titled Pluto. Before turning to music full-time, she balanced small gigs with her career as an advocate. Her journey reflects how passion, when followed by dedication, can open unexpected doors.

So, the next time you board an IndiGo flight and hear All I Want Is Touchdown looping in the background, remember it is not just an airline jingle; it is the work of two talented artists who set out to make flying feel calmer and more enjoyable.
